Mission
Bioversity undertakes, encourages and supports research and other activities on the use and conservation of agricultural biodiversity, especially genetic resources, to create more productive, resilient and sustainable harvests. Our aim is to promote the greater well-being of people, particularly poor people in developing countries, by helping them to achieve food security, to improve their health and nutrition, to boost their incomes, and to conserve the natural resources on which they depend.


Mission
UCODEP was founded in 1976 as an association for cooperation with developing countries through volunteers. The initial scope of activity focused on solidarity with communities stricken by floods, hunger and extreme poverty in Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, and Brazil and has broadened to include decentralized cooperation, immigration, and promotion of fair trade. UCODEP is collaboration with La Paz on Foot on two projects, support for a community-based tourism project in the Lake Titicaca community of Santiago de Okola and consumer awareness of Andean agriculture and crops.


Mission
Alexander Coffee is a small chain of upscale cafes and restaurants based in La Paz. Alexander Coffee is deeply committed to conservation of biodiversity and agricultural biodiversity. Their menu features certified organic coffee grown within the Amboro-Madidi Conservation Corridor, in the buffer zone of Madidi National Park and many of their food items use Andean super-grains such as quinoa, canawa and amaranth.
