Madidi National Park and Beni Pampas are two of the most biologically diverse ecosystems on the planet. On Day 1 we depart from Rurrenabaque, heading north on the Tuichi River to arrive at the Ecolodge Mashaquipe, after accommodation, we have lunch and begin our first hike through the forest, where our local guides will share their knowledge of tropical plants and their many uses. We’ll be back at the lodge before sundown and you’ll have some free time before dinner.
On our second day, we hike out from the community to an observation site where we will be able to watch macaws, parrots and other iconic rainforest birds. In the afternoon you can either rest or choose an activity, for example, you may want to make traditional handicrafts or go fishing.
On our third day after an early breakfast return to Rurrenabaque. From “”Rurre”” we travel in 4×4 and then take a short boat ride on the Yucuma River to reach our lodge. Along the way we might observe anteaters, birds, and other animals. After lunch we continue on the Yacuma river by boat to observe the amazon wildlife.
In our last day, we get an early start with a sunrise walk to experience the sounds of the forest before returning to Rurrenabaque, arriving at 16:30 approximately.
